Gas Oil (AGO) commonly

known as diesel alongside

heavy-duty handling and

processing equipment.

 The Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni

Crackdown: In a follow-up

operation, naval troops zeroed in

on the Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni axis,

successfully dismantling two

active illegal refining sites and

destroying dugout pits and

reservoirs containing over 85,300

litres of stolen crude oil.

Sticking it to Economic Saboteurs

The military noted that these relentless operations are designed to choke the supply chains and logistics networks that keep illegal bunkering alive in the Niger Delta. Despite criminals continually attempting to reactivate hidden camps, the Navy's persistent intelligence-driven patrols are heavily restricting their freedom of movement.

These aggressive clampdowns directly support the federal government’s broader mandate to ramp up national crude oil production, protect critical energy infrastructure, and put a permanent stop to environmental degradation caused by artisanal refining.

What's Next?

As security forces maintain a tightening grip on identified flashpoints across Rivers State, authorities have vowed to sustain the momentum.
