The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has taken a significant step towards combating drug abuse and eradicating counterfeit products by launching the NAFDAC Consumer Safety Club (NCSC) at Government Secondary School, Rumuokwuta, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
This initiative, spearheaded by the agency's South-South Zone Director, Pharm. Chukwuma Oligbu, on behalf of Director-General Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, aims to empower young people with the knowledge and skills to make informed choices about their health.
By involving students in its regulatory campaigns, NAFDAC seeks to create a network of young advocates who will actively participate in the fight against fake products and drug abuse within their schools and communities. The NCSC is a crucial part of NAFDAC's broader mission to cultivate a generation of responsible citizens committed to building a healthier and safer future for Nigeria.
